Little Miss L..

Over the years I have been lucky to meet so many clients that have allowed me to photograph their children as they grow.  I have been photograph Miss L since she was a teeny tiny newborn.  To date she is still the tiniest newborn I have ever photographed.  Check out how stinking adorable she was as a newborn here...

Over the summer I was lucky enough to take photos of her at Robert Moses beach.  All day her Mom and I were worried it was going to rain because the forecast and some of the sky was a little mean looking.  Once we met at the beach we could not have asked for a better day!!

Here are some of my favorites from our session.  Thank you again Michelle and Kenny.. you guys know how much I adore photographing your little girl!! :)

Welcome to the family Miss S...

When I arrived at Mirna's house to take photographs of her new baby girl I had no idea I would feel completely inspired and recharged as I left her home after the session was over.  Mirna shared a beautiful story with me while I was photographing her baby girl, sweet Miss S. It is Mirna's story to share, so one day I may convince her to share it with you, however, I am lucky to have met such an amazing strong woman with a heart as big as three universes.

Now, Mirna and her husband have the most ADORABLE little girl in the world!!!! Below are my favorite from the session, but trust me I could have shown all 55 images as my favorites.

A Stunning Headshot Session with Miss Krystin

Krystin contacted me a few months back to schedule a session for some head shots.  She wanted a different approach and thought my style would be perfect for the images she was looking to capture.  I am soooo happy she did contact me and we were finally able to meet up in the park a few weeks ago.  The light, weather and location was perfect.  I on the other hand was a babbling mess!!  I had about three hours sleep and I drank way to much coffee before the session making me like an energizer bunny gone wrong!  LOL

If this girl doesn't make it I will be surprised!  She is funny, smart and stunning!! Here are a few of my favorite images from the session..

A beautiful session with Miss Jillian

Jillian is one of those girls who is happy.  Like down to her toes happy.  It is almost infectious how sweet her personality is to everyone around her.   She is easy to talk too, funny and we had a great time at Belmont Park with her Mom and Grandmother..

It was a warm, muggy day for a session, but she did not complain once (and neither did her Mom or Grandma while we walked around a huge park!!)  I cannot thank them enough for wanting a photo session with me!

Here are my favorite images from the session..

Inspiration Through Art - Meet Little Emma

I am lucky enough to belong to a wonderful organization called Inspiration Through Art. Photographers around the world donate their talent to photograph the little heroes that surround us all.

"Inspiration Through Art is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young people to give back, and make a difference through the beauty of art. We are artists with a passion for giving and inspiring others. Through our own artistic talents we are able to come together as one, to let children around the world know that they are loved, despite the challenges they face everyday."

Back in August I was contacted by Suzanne for session with her baby girl Emma.  I was immediately touched by her story.  I asked Suzanne to write a few words telling Emma's amazing story...

"Emma Grace was born on December 17, 2009.  Her Dad and I had an idea that she may have Down Syndrome from some early tests that were done but deep down I think I always knew.  Emma had 3 holes in her heart and a bicuspid valve that should be a tricuspid.  Two of the holes have closed and we hope the last one will as well and she wont need surgery.  The valve is working well and it is being watched. She has hypothyroidism and  reflux that she takes medication for to control. She is our miracle, and has blessed our family in so many ways.  We love her extra chromosome and every little thing about her.  Emma started walking at 20 months and I don't think anything is going to stand in her way. She has taught me to slow down and cherish the little things as well as the big milestones.  We had to wait a long time for our little Miss Em, almost 9 years but she has definitely been worth the wait!"

Thank you so much Suzanne for choosing me to photograph your beautiful family.  It was truly an honor to meet you all!!

Sessions like this make my heart leap out of my chest...

This session was photographed on Mother's Day weekend.. It has been a story I have been wanting to share for some time now.  When Christena contacted me through my website saying this:

" I live in the Bahamas and will be traveling up with my 2 yr old son to Long Island for a few days from May 7 - 9.  I absolutely love your photographs - especially the way you capture kids.We are going up to meet a very special little girl (my son's biological half sister who is only 3 weeks older than him). Both of our families used the same donor and we just found out about each other!  I'd love to know if you're free for May 9th (or on the preceding weekend - even though that's Mother's Day weekend)"

I was so very touched with their story and getting to know Jenny and Christena through email that I could not wait to meet them all.

It was a perfect Spring day, they were so open and warm that the session happened so naturally and effortlessly.

Look at how brother and sister got along!

And how absolutely adorable they both are..

When I post about my sessions I cannot even express how much I love my job.  It is a feeling that is indescribable.  Then when the sessions have a meaning so grand, you cannot imagine how amazingly blessed I feel knowing that Jenny and Christena trusted this monumental event to me.

Jenny and Christena, you are both nurturing, kind and effortlessly compassionate.  I thank you not only for allowing me to capture this moment in your life, but for showing the support and kindness to me and my family over the past few months.  I hope if you ever travel back this way Christena you all think of me again to capture the bond between H & R.

I would love to share their story, in their own words over at  Here is part of the story..

On February 1, 2011, I entered my donor dad's ID# and up popped a message that said Girl Born Nov2008. My son was born in December of 2008. Not only did my son have a biological half sister, but they were almost exactly the same age. The joy and excitement that overwhelmed me on reading that simple message was totally unanticipated. I wrote to the parents as quickly as my shaking fingers allowed.

In the ensuing months, we have written back and forth at least 100 times. We have exchanged lots of pictures and stories. We have sent gifts back and forth. We, and our kids, have talked on video Skype. And on May 6th, our flight touched down at JFK airport and we got to spend the most joyous Mother's Day weekend together.

And then they were four.. Long Island Newborn Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing Jenny and her adorable family when sweet little L was inside her tummy.  The photos I captured just melted my heart then, who would have known that I would strike luck twice when I went back to capture the four of them together.

This photo was my favorite from the entire session - seriously!! Those two sweet faces!!! LOVE!!

how cute is she here with her Mom:

This pop of color of her binkie and her eyes is just priceless!!

And you all know how much I love piggy pop shots!!

Thank you again Jenny for choosing me to capture such a special time in your family's life.

Congential Heart Walk Long Island 2011

Photography has not only helped me find an outlet that brings me joy, but it has also given me the ability to connect with some pretty amazing people trying to make a difference in the world.  Individuals that volunteer their own time to organize a walk/run to raise money and awareness for a cause.

Samantha is one of those people.  I met Sam and her adorable son Dominick last year through a cause called The Littlest Hero Project.  (click here to see how cute he is!!)

She even chose me to photograph her sweet little nephew!!!  However, when she reached out to me to photograph an event she was coordinating with her friend Beatrice I was incredibly honored.

(The Congenital Heart Walk is an exciting ongoing effort between the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) and Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF)! It is designed to provide hope for the millions of families forced to face the challenges caused by a congenital heart defect.)

Beatrice and Samantha created a team of volunteers that helped raise over $41,000 for this cause.  They are already planning next years event!!

The entire day was a touching, humbling and an experience I will not forget. I cannot thank Beatrice for taking a chance on me to photograph the event and to Sam for even recommending me.  To learn more about the cause, please go to Congential Heart Walk.

Senior girls... to beautiful for words..

This past May I had the amazing opportunity to photograph two stunning girls that were getting ready to take on the next phase of their life as they graduated high school.

Meet Tiff..
Tiffany is a niece of one of my best friends.  She was looking to do something different for her "Senior" photos and I could not be more excited!! I rarely get to photograph "teenagers".  Although Tiff is another but your typical teenager.  She is getting ready to go to college in the fall, she is a brilliant performer and happens to have a smile that lights everyone around her!

Now meet Graziella...

Graziella is the daughter of my best friend since third grade.  She has more style in her little pinky than I ever will!!  I am telling you to watch out for this one, she is getting ready to take on the world come September!!!  I was thrilled when she asked me to take some pictures of her before she went to prom.  PROM!! I cannot believe my best friend has a daughter that went to prom.  When did I get so old?  She looked absolutely stunning, and soooo much like my best friend at her age.  Life moves super fast!!

They were so funny together!!

Thank you so much Tiffany and Graziella for allowing me to capture times in your life that mean so much!!!
